About Me

I am a writer, paddleboarder, and a former improv comedian - despite not being particularly funny. An Arabic speaker, I am an alum of Middlebury College and The Fletcher School at Tufts University. I worked for a dozen years at Recorded Future, the world’s largest threat intelligence company, which was acquired by Mastercard in 2024. Before that, I was with a crisis response company, helping to establish its first overseas offices in both Pakistan and Thailand.

If I’m not with family and friends, then I’m probably at a cafe. If I’m not writing, then I’m probably reading. If I’m not at an F45 class, then I’m probably paddleboarding.

I love history and have a deep passion for anything related to the Middle East. I believe in having heroes and consider some of mine authors whose work I deeply admire, like Robert Caro and David McCullough.

Currently, I’m trying to learn the lines to Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire.”
